Monthly Wrap-Up: February, 2014

On February 2014, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 8.26% and reached UAH 506,711,486; the total number of transactions grew by 55.44% and hit 41,168.

The total volume on the derivatives market on the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 40.58% and reached UAH 96,140,182 (101,016 contracts); the total number of transactions increased by 55.25% and reached 15,919.

The total trading volume on the securities market reached UAH 410,571,304; the total number of transactions reached 25,249.

At the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 25.80% to hit 1119.23 points.

Most effect was coming from the shares of Raiffeisen Bank Aval (BAVL) +54.61 points, Centerenergo (CEEN) +41.14 points and Ukrnafta (UNAF) +39.74 points.

At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of Motor Sich the trading volume reached UAH 49,136,593followed by Ukrnafta – UAH 13,301,842 and Centerenergo – UAH 13,209,588. Their total turnover in shares reached 32.75%, 8.87% and 8.80% respectively.
