Monthly Wrap-Up: March, 2014

On March 2014, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 11.833% and reached UAH 566,655,976; the total number of transactions decreased by 9.57% and hit 37,228.

The total volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 8.73% and reached UAH 87,741,658 (83,959 contracts); the total number of transactions decreased by 23.31% and reached 12,208.

The total trading volume on the securities market grew by 16.64% and reached UAH 478,914,319; the total number of transactions reached 25,020.

Corporate bonds of ASC Renaissance Ltd  series J (RENI05) and series K (RENI06) were placed. Total placement volume on March reached UAH 10,614,640.

19 government bonds transactions were done on March their volume reached UAH 12,462,689.

At the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 8.89% to hit 1019.72 points.

Most effect was coming from the shares of Motor Sich (MSICH) -58.91 points, Ukrsotsbank (USCB) +42.33 points and Azovstal Iron and Steel Works (AZST) -16.97 points.

At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of Motor Sich the trading volume reached UAH 45,375,355followed by Centerenergo – UAH 31,896,037 and Ukrnafta – UAH 19,899,868. Their total turnover in shares reached 21.41%, 15.05% and 9.39% respectively.
