Monthly Wrap-Up: April, 2014
On April 2014, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 20.74% and reached UAH 684,174,151; the total number of transactions increased by 20.41% and hit 44,826.
The total volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 27.41% and reached UAH 111,792,347 (101,148 contracts); the total number of transactions increased by 8.31% and reached 13,222.
The total trading volume on the securities market grew by 19.52% and reached UAH 572,381,804; the total number of transactions reached 31,604.
7 government bonds transactions were done on April; their total volume reached UAH 1,152,422.
At the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 8.19% to hit 1103.28 points.
Most effect was coming from the shares of Centerenergo (CEEN) 32.99 points, Raiffeisen Bank Aval (BAVL) 19.89points and Ukrnafta (UNAF) 17.37 points.
At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of Centerenergo the trading volume reached UAH 45,542,432followed by Ukrnafta – UAH 38,856,908 and Motor Sich – UAH 37,428,414. Their total turnover in shares reached 17.80%, 15.19% and 14.63% respectively.
