Monthly Wrap-Up: December, 2014
On December 2014, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 11.36% and reached UAH 740,975,930; the total number of transactions increased by 10.74% and hit 47,467.
The total volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 22.93% and reached UAH 161,047,595 (153,502 contracts); the total number of transactions reached 15,747.
The total trading volume on the securities market grew by 8.42% and reached UAH 559,928,335; the total number of transactions reached 31,720.
At the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 6.33% to hit 1033.30 points.
Most effect was coming from the shares of Centerenergo (CEEN) -25.19 points, Krukivsky Carriage Works (KVBZ) -22.12 points and Azovstal Iron and Steel Works (AZST) 21.12 points.
At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of Motor Sich, the trading volume reached UAH 31,939,438 followed by shares of Ukrnafta– UAH 22,448,727 and Centerenergo – UAH 21,149,112. Their total turnover in shares reached 19.18%, 13.48% and 12.70% respectively.
