Trading Results 2014

In 2014, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 21% YOY to UAH 8,587,992,824 the total number of transactions decreased by 52% and reached 495,019.

The total trading volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 63% YOY to UAH 1,404,835,496 (1,252,025 contracts); the total number of transactions reached 157,823.

The total trading volume on the securities market fell by 8% YOY to UAH 7,183,157,328; the total number of transactions decreased by 63% and reached 337,196.

In 2014, equities marker became a volume leaded with total trading volume reaching UAH 6,444 million (75% of total trading volume); followed by derivatives market – UAH 1,604 million (17%) and investment certificate, bonds reached UAH 740 million (8%).

Trading Structure of the Ukrainian Exchange in 2014

At the end of the year 2014, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 13.54% to 1,033.30 points.

In 2014, equities of Motor Sich (MSICH) became the turnover leader with the total trading volume reaching UAH 445,226,483 followed by Ukrnafta (UNAF) – UAH 343,074,226 and Centerenergo (CEEN) – UAH 309,567,031. Their total turnover share reached 18.63%, 14.36% and 12.95%, respectively.
