Monthly Wrap-Up: January, 2015

On January 2015, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 40.07% and reached UAH 432,036,630; the total number of transactions decreased by 41.94% and hit 27,558.

The total volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 43.45% and reached UAH 91,070,151 (80,334 contracts); the total number of transactions reached 9,381.

The total trading volume on the securities market fell by 39.10% and reached UAH 340,966,479; the total number of transactions reached 18,177.

At the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 4.05% to hit 991.42 points.

Most effect was coming from the shares of Ukrnafta (UNAF) 23.81 points, Raiffeisen Bank Aval (BAVL) -12.44 points and Centerenergo (CEEN) -9.95 points.

At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of Motor Sich, the trading volume reached UAH 13,128,532 followed by shares of Ukrnafta– UAH 12,286,817 and Centerenergo – UAH 9,652,648. Their total turnover in shares reached 17.77%, 16.63% and 13.06% respectively.
