Monthly Wrap-Up: May, 2015

On May 2015, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 41.5% and reached UAH 421,646,143; the total number of transactions decreased by 39.27% and hit 18,235.

The total volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 39.27% and reached UAH 180,902,169 (46,354 contracts); the total number of transactions reached 5,076.

The total trading volume on the securities market fell by 43.07% and reached UAH 240,743,974; the total number of transactions decreased by 43.36% and reached 11,668.

At the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 6.16% to hit 1011.22 points.

Most effect was coming from the shares of Azovstal Iron and Steel Works (AZST) -14.53 points, Centerenergo (CEEN) -13.73 points and Krukivsky Carriage Works (KVBZ) -13.03 points.

At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of Motor Sich, the trading volume reached UAH 20,053,540 followed by shares of Ukrnafta – UAH 8,528,908 and Standard Re – UAH 7,803,126. Their total turnover in shares reached 28.52%, 12.13% and 11.10% respectively.
