Monthly Wrap-Up: December 2017
In December 2017, the total trading
volume on the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 243,12 % and
reached UAH 7 112 153 221 ; the total number of
transactions decreased by 17,30 % and hit 7 737.
The
total volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian
Exchange fell by 30,02 % and reached UAH
573 429 288 (19 493 contracts); the total number of transactions
reached 1 808 decreased
by 25,63 % more than in November.
Within
the framework of the pilot project, 8agreements were concluded with a futures contract for the price of wheat CPT
Odesa worth UAH 383 307 or 83 contracts. As a result of this
futures contract, one Grain delivery agreement in the amount of one ton at a price of UAH 4 259.97 was concluded, which is
equal to the Final Price as a result of bidding at PJSC "Ukrainian
Exchange" under the Futures Contract / Contracts for the price of wheat
CPT Odesa with the code IB-12.17minus the discount established by PJSC "Ukrainian Exchange" for the
selected Delivery point (SE "Bread base №73" of the State Agency of
Ukraine's Reserve).
The
total trading volume on the securities market reached UAH
6 538 723 932 (trading volume among shares reached 141 544 677), grew by 421,69 %than in November.
The total number of transactions decreased by 14,38 % and reached 5
929.
At
the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian
Exchange grew by 6,08 % from 1 284,93 to 1 363,04 points.
At the end
of the month, the top sellers were Ministry of finance
of Ukraine (UA98469)
– UAH 2 677 711 384, followed by stocks of Ministry
of finance of Ukraine (UA97396) – UAH 1 348 305
706 and Ministry of finance of Ukraine (UA99244) – 1 129 136
192 . Their total turnover in shares reached 41,65 %, 20,97 % 17,56 %
respectively.
