Most Ukrainian 
blue chips ended marginally lower on Wednesday (Nov 20), although gains in two 
top liquid issues allowed the UX index to end the day unchanged at 915 points, 
mirroring a largely flat performance in European shares. Raiffeisen Aval 
continued to underpin the local benchmark, rising for an 8th consecutive session 
with a 1.9% pickup to 12.18 kopecks, and DonbasEnergo added 1.8% to approach the 
UAH 27 level; together, the two issues accounted for UAH 2.3mn in turnover. On 
the downside, UkrSotsBank shed 1.6%, while Alchevsk Steel and CentrEnergo each 
edged down by 0.7%. Outside the UX basket, Stirol was little-changed near UAH 14 
after the announcement of a special shareholder meeting set for next Thursday 
(Nov 28). In Warsaw, top agro names Kernel and Astarta posted respective gains 
of 4.2% and 2.0%, with the latter ending at PLN 67.30.
