Petition against the Law About the Depository System

The Ukrainian Exchange and leading brokers on Ukraine's stock market ask you to join this petition for a substantial revision of the Law About the Depository System. We strongly believe this document, which has been signed by the President Viktor Yanukovych at 22th, September 2012, will have grave implications for the Ukrainian investment attractiveness by effectively creating a monopoly on clearing and settlement. This petition is being launched in concurrence with an open letter by Ukrainian stock market participants to the President of Ukraine (the letter is in Ukrainian) in order to obtain a review of certain provisions of the Law, which violate the Constitution of Ukraine and conflict with recommendations of international organizations.
