30.04.2011 Monthly Wrap Up: April, 2011
For the April 2011, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange reached UAH 6,095,166,554.25; the total number of transactions reached 192,325.
At the end of the month, the total volume on the derivatives market on the Ukrainian Exchange reached UAH 1,951,662,096.20; the total number of transactions reached 79,187.
The total trading volume on the stock market reached UAH 4,143,504,349.20; the total number of transactions reached 113,138.
For the April 2011, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 2.12% to reach 2,753.09 points.
Most negative effect was coming from ordinary shares of JSC "Ukrnafta" (UNAF) (minus 33.19 points), JSC "Centerenergo" (CEEN) (minus 29.65 points) and JSC "Ukrtelekom" (UTLM) (minus 28.35 points).
At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of JSC "Motor Sich", the trading volume reached UAH 423,622,426 followed by JSC "Ukrnafta" – UAH 195,643,313 and JSC "Alchevsk Metallurgical Plan" – UAH 189,663,687. Their total turnover in shares reached 22.23%, 10.26% and 9.95% respectively.
