Trading volume exceeds 60 mln hryvnias

On November 10, 2009 the Ukrainian Exchange saw a record in trading volume and the number of trades concluded during one day. By the end of the main trading session the market participants had executed 2,344 trades with a value of 60,160,079.03 hryvnias.

The previous record was made on September 29, 2009 with the Ukrainian Exchange members entering into 2,106 trades with a value of 52,547,150.93 hryvnias.

The Index of Ukrainian shares calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange has risen today by +2.24% reaching 1,596.01 points.

The leaders on the exchange today are Azovstal Iron and Steel Works shares with a turnover of6,744,133 hryvnias, Enakievo Metallurgical Plant shares with a turnover of 5 884 941 hryvnias and Ukrnafta shares with a turnover of 5,630,891 hryvnias.

JSC "Ukrainian Exchange" went live on March 26, 2009 and has been strengthening its technology leadership  in launching order-driven trading, Internet trading, online index calculation and repo quotations.

For the first six months of trading 1300 individual investors were connected to the Ukrainian Exchange gaining access to more than 142 top liquid stocks and bonds.
