Monthly Wrap-Up: October, 2014
On October 2014, the total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 4.50% and reached UAH 843,488,482; the total number of transactions decreased by 8.16% and hit 46,141.
The total volume on the derivatives market of the Ukrainian Exchange fell by 20.42% and reached UAH 130,277,223 (110,888 contracts); the total number of transactions reached 15,468.
The total trading volume on the securities market fell by 0.88% and reached UAH 713,211,260; the total number of transactions reached 30,673.
At the end of the month, the UX Index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 3.45% to hit 1,141.38 points.
Most effect was coming from the shares of Ukrnafta (UNAF) -26.4 points, Azovstal Iron and Steel Works (AZST) 25.64 points and Donbasenergo (DOEN) 19.57 points.
At the end of the month, the top sellers were shares of Ukrnafta, the trading volume reached UAH 46,278,266 followed by shares of Motor Sich – UAH 20,866,144 and government bonds UA85151 – UAH 17,110,710. Their total turnover in shares reached 20.44%, 9.22% and 7.56% respectively.
